DESIGN YOUR OWN GARDEN STAGE II:

Design Your Own Garden Stage II is a 6 week modular course, with a class one morning or evening a week. Modules cover

·         Planting Design

·         Lighting Design

·         Preparation of site plans

You may enrol in any number of the modules.

The prerequisite for these modules is completion of the Design Your Own Garden Stage I course. However, if you have a scaled Concept Plan prepared by a professional landscape designer or landscape architect, you may also enrol in this course.

I enjoyed putting together my concept plan and I am looking forward to the plant selection course so I can have me garden looking fabulous by Christmas.

Kristina Ercolano, Grey Lynn

Module 1: Planting Design

This module runs for three weeks and covers:

·         Plant selection

·         Plant design

·         Preparation of a Planting Plan

This module is ideal for people who would like some help with selecting the appropriate plants for their garden, and for those who plan to engage a contractor to plant their garden.

It was great to take home a list of possibilities that are available locally and to be able to ask Robyn questions regarding different plants.

Belinda Gregg, Balmoral

Module 2: Lighting Design

This module is one 2 hour session and covers:

·         Selection of appropriate lighting for your garden

·         Preparation of a Lighting Plan

Module 3: Site Plans

This module runs for two weeks and covers:

·         Preparation of a Scope of Works

·         Drawing a Site Layout Plan

·         Drawing Site Layout Elevations

This module is ideal for those who wish to engage a contractor to build their landscape.

The documents produced in these three modules should be sufficient for a contractor to quote for small landscaping projects.

We recommend you engage the services of an engineer to prepare detailed drawings for large projects and for Building Consent purposes. The documents produced above will provide valuable information to allow these professionals to complete their work in as little time as possible.

COURSE DATES:

There are no courses currently scheduled.

INVESTMENT:

The fee for module 1 is $270 incl. GST, for module 2 is $90 incl. GST and for module 3 is $180 incl. GST. Enrol in all 3 modules for the reduced fee of $520. A deposit of $50 per module or $100 for all 3 modules is required to secure your place on the course, with the balance due on or before the first class.

There may be some additional costs for drawing equipment and materials, but we will do our best to keep these to a minimum.
