NEWS FROM THE GARDEN DESIGN SCHOOL AUCKLAND’S
LANDSCAPE GARDEN DESIGN SCHOOL FOR THE HOME OWNER December 2011 HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE AUCKLAND WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN The Auckland Council
has released the draft Waste
Management and Minimisation Plan. They are asking Aucklanders for their opinions on the plan, with submissions

would be great to see some reduction in the amount of rubbish Aucklanders
send to landfill. November 2011 AUCKLAND GARDEN DESIGNFEST The inaugural Auckland Garden
DesignFest will take place on the weekend of November 19 and 20, 2011. 24
gardens, all designed by professional garden designers, will be open to raise
much-needed funds for three children’s charities supported by The Rotary Club
of Newmarket. Designers will be on hand in the gardens to chat to visitors.
This is a great opportunity to get some ideas for your own gardens. Tickets
are $40 per person to visit all the gardens over the two day weekend, or
tickets can be purchased to visit individual gardens. For further
information, check www.gardendesignfest.co.nz. September 2011 AUCKLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE We have recently joined the Auckland
